Why start a blog?

I have been pondering for a few years now, the question of how do people create a blog? For years I have been thinking about starting a blog but could not muss up the courage to start one until now. Why not? Why not put my views, opinions, concerns, and thoughts out there on a site for people to see? Why should I not share my love for books, writing, and the craft of composing words to those who share the same love of words as I do. Read by the Beach is a place where I will share my summer reads and thoughts for those of you who wish to take a look at my minds way of thinking. Coming this summer are post on books that I hope you will pick up and read on a white sandy beach near you.
